we know that spring will soon arrive in this part of Southern Ontario as today we had a small flock of Eastern Goldfinches at our feeders. A pair of Redwing Blackbirds arrived along with them.
Has anyone ever noticed that certain species of birds seem to arrive at the same time? For example, every year when I see my first Baltimore Oriole, I watch for Ruby Throat hummingbirds because they will arrive the same day or soon after. Migration is fascinating.
