All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/12/2010

Number: 1

I saw my first swallows of this spring off the new levee at the Nisqually NWR last Wednesday (10 March 2010). They were chasing bugs with their usual speed and the photos I took were not great because the day was very dark, but I got enough detail to be able to tell that they were tree swallows. I did not see them when I returned the next day (but that may have been because it was raining very hard).
