We had a sudden rise in temperatures this week that melted our mounds of snow only to reveal daffodils, crocus, and tulips in the north side garden. Tulips in the west side garden emerged two days later. We expected the west garden tulips to emerge first because they had more sun exposure, but the snow was much deeper on that side of the building this year than on the north side. After such a hard winter, we're sure glad to see the plants begin to emerge! It gave our spirits a boost.
