Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/07/2010

Number: 1

We saw a robin, and in the days to follow we have seen several.
Yesterday the grackles arrive, and what a commotion at the bird feeders. Last week the geese were making lots of squawking down by the river, we watched as they were attempting to pair up. Some of the young matured geese were getting their wings flapped.
So in the last week - there has been a lot of feathers flying, bird feeders trashed and a feeling of territory dominance in the air.
The sun exposed ground has a 4" frost line, unexposed 2" depth.
the soil is sponged soak. Funny just now a lone goose went squawking over the house.
