Yesterday (03-11-10) the first female RUFOUS HUMMER appeared at our place
(just east of the Merlin I-5 exit). Shortly after, a male was heard
displaying. This morning the female was seen perched in dense foliage (more
to avoid the heavy rain that the males, I think).
