Out of 9 tulips planted, one has emerged, and is about 2-3 inches tall. We think we didn't have more because we had heavy ice and snow this winter. There were deer tracks near our site, and the patch we used is not growing grass, so we might have too much clay in the soil. We would pick a different location if we do this again. We are hopeful and excited to see our tulip bloom soon.
