All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/16/2010

Number: 1

I realize this is a first sighting for Monarchs but thought some might find it interesting that I happen to observe a Black Swallowtail about 1/2 hour ago fluttering through the backyard.

I don't think I've ever seen one this early as we normally have snow on the ground here outside of Syracuse. The temp is @ 55 degrees with bright Sun. It was refreshing and an assuring sight that Spring is on the way.
