Our tulips have emerged. We had quite a bit of rain last week and now the temperatures have really risen. The air temperature today is 51 degrees F. The ground temperature is 42.8 degrees F. The tips of the tulips were red and changed to green towards the base. They ranged in size from 1 cm-11 cm in height. The tulips may have emerged over the weekend when we were not at school. We had huge patches of snow in some parts of our garden. The tulips that were under a heavier blanket of snow appear to be shorter in height. Some other test site tulips planted near the school wall emerged and are already over 6 inches tall.
