Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 03/09/2010

Number: 1

March 09, 2010: First male Rufous appeared. It flitted about where the feeders were hung last year. Immediately filled a feeder for him. We now have two males and a female Rufous. They enjoy the cedar trees for cover; and budding trees for perching.

2008: two hummingbirds had three babies = 5.

2009: five hummingbirds returned and had ten babies = 15. What entertaining high-energy antics with 15 hummers (Rufous and Annas) all vying for position on three feeders!

2010: Can't wait to see total this summer!
