Loud and clear! The first robin was already singing when I opened the door early this morning to go for the newspaper. I heard a second robin signing as I walked down the road an hour later. Yesterday I heard none on a 2 hour morning walk, so it is easy to declare the first robin song of the season occurred this morning, March 19th. Our snow is nearly gone and temperatures are predicted to soar into the 60's this weekend. We've had an unusually warm winter and this is the earliest I've heard a robin sing in 6 years.
