I spotted one slightly faded adult Monarch flying north through the neighborhood at noon today. A beautiful day in the Houston area, 70 degrees F, winds 5-15 mph generally from the ESE, partly cloudy sky. Yesterday yielded one Black Swallowtail Butterfly. Unfortunately my milkweed plants are too small to do them any good for their trip north.
