While visiting, Dave Kust and his daughter, Katie, witnessed much monarch activity. They estimated monarchs flying past them midday in a W/NW direction at an estimated rate of 280 per minute. The weather was sunny and clear, 75 degrees in the shade, with a light breeze out of the South.
