While the ice is not off the reservoir, there are some open areas. My husband and I got the kayak out! As we paddled around we observed a muskrat who was busy preening itself. People were out fishing also.....I'm sure they thought it rather silly when they watched us portage over on area of ice so that we could get back to where we put in.
