Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/23/2010

Number: 1

This afternoon, around 2:00, we saw a Monarch flitting around a pink blooming shrub in our neighborhood.

I have photographed many Monarch butterflies over the years, have grown Mexican milkweed in my yard and watched their caterpillars eating it to the ground and even watched over chrysalis in my yard. The Monarch we saw probably enclosed from a local location after a couple of really warm days here.
