Hello fellow birdwatchers , I have been keeping the faith and feeding my birds all winter long.Here is a list of the birds:house sparrow,robin,downy woodpecker,red-bellied ,cardinals,woodpecker,white-breasted nuthatch,black-capped chickadee,pine siskin ,goldfinch,starlings, morning dove and slate-colored junco.There have been some new arrivals in the last week: grackles and hairy woodpecker.Soon the juncos will be leaving and the chipping sparrows will be arriving witch is a true sign of spring around here. I will be putting out the oriole feeder and grape jelly next week. They will be here soon.In late April the hummingbirds will be here,I so look forward to their arrival.The maple trees will leaf out in the next week,also columbine is showing.I look forward to reading your observations.
