We took our tulips out of the closet on Monday. We had to chill them in an outdoor closet because the soil was too muddy to plant in the outdoor garden in the fall. We planted two bulbs in each pot for a total of 50 bulbs. One bulb was the official Journey North Red Emperor Tulip. The other bulb was an experimental tulip which could be red, orange, yellow, or cream. We have more red tulips than the other colors. We have several yellow tulips. We have buds for a few cream colored tulips. We don't have any orange tulips yet. Some students leaves broke so we put the flowers in water to keep them alive. Some of our bulbs did not grow and have mold on them
