Tulips have been emerging randomly with some just beginning while others have shown up weeks ago. This was a great discussion piece for our second graders on the whys and what ifs. Great conversations were held that involved what plants need as well as factors that contribute to differences in plant growth. This year has also yielded many more emerging bulbs then in the past. 75% have made where we have had other years of only 25% surviving. Again it was a wonderful topic for making inferences and having positive discussions about many situations that impact plant life.
