Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/23/2010

Number: 1

We had a single Monarch on 3/23/2010 at our barely sprouting garden in north Houston. Our Butterfly Weed (A. tuberosa) had been pretty much crowded out by other plants. Those that remained died in the winter freeze. The monarch seemed to be searching for new sprouting plants. I will throw out some seed.
