I observed 3 very large white birds w/ black wing tips underneath. They were very high in the sky & traveling in a NW direction. They made very little wing flapping- mostly gliding. First there was one by it's self, then a ways back came two more together. It was an awesome sight and am not sure if they could have been whopping cranes or not---but that was what I was guessing. They looked too large to be pelicans & pelicans usually travel in larger groups.
Can anyone tell me if this sounds like Whopping Crane activity?
