Out for a late morning walk with my wife. I heard a trilling bird sound and could not determine where it was coming from. Finally I looked straight up and I could not believe what I was seeing. A flock of about 50 Sandhill Cranes. Their flight vocalization matches perfectly with the audio from this web sight. ( http://www.bringbackthecranes.org/design/vocalizations.html ). I saw a flock of large white birds, black wing tips, necks stretched out and long legs tailing behind. I was stunned. They were flying north at about 45 miles per hour. I began bird watching while in high school. I have learned how to identify birds over time. This flock of Whooping Cranes was a spectacular sight. My wife, Juanita Cisneros can confirm this sighting.
