All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/23/2010

Number: 1

There were swans, either tundra or whistling swans (I think that they are the same) swimming in a shallow field pond (temporary spring run off pond) a couple of miles west of town today. Last year the pond, and others lasted for a long time, because of our cold and wet spring. The swans were around for over a week. This year it probably won't be so long.
