March 31/10 first robin sighted in our yard -bright coloured breast -male .He was perched on a mountain ash tree where a few berries remained following an onslaught by a flock of hungry wax wings a few days ago , weather cloudy , damp ,temp. plus 6 celsius , light breeze , 9:45 a.m. , scattered patches of snow remain in yard . What a beautiful harbinger of spring and EASTER !
