All Other Signs of Spring

oh my goodness...my friend called me to say that he saw one butterfly arrive today just outside of Kakabeka Falls! This is incredible, but since the south winds have been strong, no doubt it got swept up north rather quickly. He was unable to tell if it was a male or female and said it was slightly tattered...maybe because of the winds. Sure hope it survives...as there are no flowers available for it to feed on...suggested very ripe fruit...but alas it may get quite cold here (month of April still could have snow) and I feel for it's life.
