our first sighting of the red-winged blackbird was in our backyard, at the squirrel feeder box (the roof doubles as a platform feeder). at first it wasn't noticed since it was accompanied by a group of common grackles 8-10 or so. really dont care for the gracs but the solo r/w bb was interesting!
