I planted milkweed several years ago and now have many plants in multiple locations in my yard. I often see Monarch females laying eggs on them but only once did I find a caterpillar. Sometimes I wonder if they prefer really young plants because that is the only time I found a caterpillar was on a baby milkweed. I will continue to enjoy my milkweed and watching the monarchs visiting.
