Several weeks ago before everything started to bloom, my granddaughter and I went to the backyard to look for acorns from our red oak tree. The tree was still bare. We noticed 2 chrysalis hanging from limbs. We found 1 on the ground but it was soft and sunken. The chrysalis are still attached to the tree and each day I wait to see if the Monarch has emerged. Not yet so far.
