I have been cultivating a milkweed garden for 3 years and the milkweed is taking over the south side of our yard.I have a protected butterfly and hummingbird garden at the SE side of the house with Butterfly bushes, Butterfly weed, Tansey and other butterfly attracting plants. In the backyard,I have a naturalized garden with trees and places for birds and insects to hide and thrive. We see many butterflies and their eggs and larvae, including Monarchs. No butterflies or milkweed yet, but the weather seems to be warmer than last year and I expect them very soon.
