Saw 3 Eastern yellow tiger swallowtails (Papilio glaucus) come out and fly down from my tulip popular in the warm (>80F) noon to afternoon.
Also saw this weekend 1 smaller species of what appears to be eastern tailed-blues (Everes comyntas)puddling near impatients i put out, and sitting on my rock garden, color light blue obverse, appears to be a male. possibly trying ambush a female.
