We have 40 tulips that have emerged. Only 5 of those 40 have not bloomed yet. (We planted a total of 50 tulips.) Our tallest tulip is 16 inches and our shortest is 2 1/2 inches. We have had an unusal winter for Alabama. We had snow on more than one occasion. Usually, we never see snow, or temperatures as low as we had! Now that spring is here, our temeperatures are hitting upper 80's already, which is usually more like weather in May. My 3rd graders have taken great care of our tulips in measuring, watering, and caring for them.
