All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/04/2010

Number: 1

I saw my first morning cloak butterfly of the year today flitting along the road and the driveway. the temperature has been so very warm I was expecting to see butterflies this weekend. sun, sun, sun- +20C for Easter Sunday. may be some showers tomorrow. the chickens are out scratching and chowing down on those spring bugs. the grass is about 5cm tall and the bloodroot in my garden is in bloom. snowdrops are blooming and the tulips are about 5cm tall as well. the forsythia in the back yard is just opening up. birds are everywhere but I still haven't seen any vultures in the sky overhead and the great blue heron is not back yet.
