Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/06/2010

Number: 1

Wow! So many tulips in one week! We were surprised to come back from spring break and see all of the red tulips! Two weeks ago all we saw was green and the tulips had no buds. We’ve been on spring break for one week and did not get to check on the tulips last week. Today when we went out, almost every red emperor tulip has bloomed. There is red everywhere! We think they bloomed so quickly due to all the warm weather we had during spring break. The temperature has been higher than normal for this time of year and temperature records have even been set! When we checked our tulips it was 71 degrees F and the high is expected to be 90 degrees F! Our tulips have bloomed so much in the past week that the petals are already drooping! Even some of the red emperor bulbs from last year have bloomed during this time!
