Good morning fellow bird watchers, It has been windy(30mph) cool(43*) and wet today. I have added mealworms to my bird habitat. Hope to attract bluebirds. Yesterday had a brown-headed cow bird(male) at feeder, also have put out hummingbird feeders. Tomorrow will put out egg shells I saved. Nursery plants are starting to arrive so will be able to plant hummingbird garden. For past three years have planted Red Lady salvia, hummers are mad for it.Have put out jelly and sugar water for orioles. My neighbor gave me a branch of viburnum, I think she said it was trilobed. Will have to do more research. The branch had lain over on the ground at some point last summer and rooted,we were both surprised,I took it and planted it in my yard . Hope it thrives. Maltese cross and gentian are showing. Good birding & gardening to all.
