Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/31/2010

Number: 1

We discoverd that on March 31, that most of the 150 tulips we planted in the fall, have started to emerge. Over the last couple of weeks, the daily temperature has been between 20 to 27 degrees celsius. Currently the temperature is around 13 degrees celsius. It will be interesting to see how the temperature change will affect the further emergence of the tulips. Our class predicts that the colder temperatures will slow down the growth process of the tulips. However, we have had little rain and now are getting rain each day. This may help the tulips to emerge more quickly. We will let you know when the tulips start to bloom.
