I saw my first Blue Heron of the year today. I have kept track of the first one I've seen for 4 years now, and this is the latest. Previous 1st's were 2006 - April 3rd, 2008 - March 28th, 2009 March 27th, and this year the 4th of April. I guess I missed it in 2007.
