The warm temps and high winds did their magic on the ice and did their work earlier than expected this year."
"The Van Deusens with "Van Air" flew the lake on Monday morning (8:00 a.m.) and spotted about 15% of Big Bay covered with pack ice."
"Later that day Paul Pollock checked where he could on the east end and found no ice visible. So we declare Lake Vermilion "ice free" on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010!!
