I made my first trip to look for milkweed growing in the fields around Austin and found plenty. The fields are covered with wild flowers, and the milkweed is holding its own and is very healthy. We have had good rains the past six months after a two year drought. I also collected a few eggs, but I didn't find as many as I have in the past.
