I found about 30 monarch eggs on tiny shoots of common milkweed in my backyard meadow (and vegetable) garden this morning. Many folks don't want common milkweed because it's a thug, but a plant that brings 30 monarch eggs on April 12 is welcome in my garden, even if it does invade the kale.
