Despite the recent cooler temperatures and a few snow flurries,
migrants are making their way back. Yesterday, April 9th I had my
earliest Yellow-rumped "Myrtle" Warbler at Britannia Conservation
Area/Mud Lake and today another early record of Pine Warbler was found
singing along the Jack Pine Trail, off Moodie Drive, south of Bells
Corners.
At 11:35 a.m., Ben and I observed an immature Golden Eagle migrating
north over Moodie Drive and Carling Ave. 12 Fox Sparrows were also
spotted throughout the region, but no White-throated Sparrows were
found.
