At approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 9, 2010, I spotted a loon swimming on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. I am at this lake every day, all year long, and this was my first sighting of a loon this spring.

On April 10, 2010, I was at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis again and saw two loons separately arrive on the lake, and one of them departed after a little scuffle with the other. I have photos.
