It took a while to confirm, but we had our first male Rufous of the season visit our rear feeders today... It was getting dark so I grabbed by binoculars and scurried outside to verify. To my surprise it was our first male Rufous of the season!!! The metallic humm of his wings was also a dead give-away... He must have been passing through, we haven't seen him since :(
