First barn swallow seen when the sun came out after the morning rain - flying around the garage looking for an opening to get in and start a nest - temperature 48˚F. Also, I had first seen 2 chipping sparrows 2 days earlier, and they nearly crashed into me today while chasing each other around the yard.
