The Mendenhall Wetland(a large coastal estuary)in Juneau is a great place for spring birding. Migrating passerines are often seen in the drier, grass-sedge area. I saw at least 15 male robins, but no females there on Fri afternoon. This sighting is probably the beginning of the annual robin wave; later in spring I have seen many more individuals.
