I have had what must have been hundreds of goldfinches here for several days. You could hear the chirping loud and clear even inside a closed up house. It seemed as though there were more every day. Don't think I've ever seen so many. I had two thistle socks out but had to put out two additional extra large ones. Also added thistle to the regular sunflower chip feeders. All were covered with finches and the socks were about drained in only ~3 days!

This eveing now it is earily quiet and I cannot see a goldfinch anywhere. I guess they've left me.
