Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/21/2010

Number: 1

Mrs.Child's homeroom was in Mrs. Masten's language arts class and spotted a male ruby throat on a window hanging feeder at 10:15 this morning. We have around 20 feeders hanging around our school and two habitats/gardens with various hummingbird plants like verbena. This feeder is at the end of one hall on the school. The school is located on old farm land, but there is tree cover (pines and scrub oaks) that sorrounds our grounds.
