One of my students Megan Howe came in with a wiggling earthworm in her hands at lunch recess saying that she found it at the school lawn.It has been cold, snowing and blowing here. The snow finally just melted off in most places around the school. This just might be a case of the "early worm beats the bird".

PS The kids and I were up in at our Magic Spots in the little forest by our school when we heard and saw our first Sandhill Crane of the season!
