Saw 4 Monarchs at our ranch on the Pedernales. I saw only one close up, and it looked ragged. There was hardly any milkweed out there at that time (mid March). Now (April 22) there are massive quantities of milkweed - especially of antelope horn - but NO Monarchs, no eggs and no caterpillars. Lots of other butterflies, though!
