I am a kindergarten teacher and during the last eight years, I have bought milkweed from the same nursery with caterpillars or eggs on the plant. This year in March, I bought 40 milkweed plants and we planted them in our school butterfly garden, but none of the plants had caterpillar or eggs. We have not seen any monarch yet around our garden. I wonder if the children would be able to see something egg, larva, pupa or an adult before leaving for Summer vacation.
