Good morning fellow birdwatchers,Rainy,59* with possible thunderstorms this afternoon.Have added salvias:cherry queen(greggii),hot lips(grahamii) and butterfly flower(asclepias) to the garden. Also put in vegetable garden(peppers and tomatoes).Have four-o'clocks sprouting up from last years seed.Hyssop Sunset(agastache) made it through the winter.All the usual birds are visiting the feeders.Robins are eating all the jelly.House finches can't get enough sun flower seed, must be at least 10 pairs.Ma & pa cowbird here everyday along with grackles,house sparrows,downy woodpeckers,chipping sparrows,cardinals and starlings(flying rats). Be nice to see something new like hummingbirds and orioles but, alas not here yet.I will endeavor to be patient.Good birding and gardening.
