Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/26/2010

Number: 1

When we looked at our garden only one of us had any flower petals left on our tulips. All the tulips had the pistils still there but the stamen wasn't sticky any more. It is a chilly cloudy day. The temperature is about 60 degrees. We obsereved many more birds chirping. Some I wonder questions: Why is one tulip still bright red? I wonder why the green energy is going back into the bulb? I wonder if all the birds have migrated back north? I wonder why the grape hyacynths planted on the other side of the flag pole are still blooming? Why is the pistil still there?
