My last visit to our mountain-top "chalet" revealed tulip buds just rising above the foliage. I would expect them to bloom within a few days, as the weather has turned hot and rainy.

Two weeks ago, we saw the loon had returned to our lake, and for the first time, we saw a hooded merganzer. Handsome bird! Three weeks ago we saw an otter, which had emerged from among the ice floes near the shore, eating a small fish. It's really spring!
